Tramontane

Tramontane is a project by Andy Cook and Philippe Gard. Based in the Roussillon, South West France, they source grapes and wines from their own vineyards and those of friends. With extensive experience in buying, selling, growing, making and blending wines, they are able to produce outstanding products at very competitive prices.

Tramontane Chardonnay 2008 VdP Cotes Catalanes
This wine is from Chardonnay vines at top end of the Agly Valley. At around 250m, the cool nights and hot days provide a perfect environment for this noble grape variety. The wines exhibits clean tropical fruit with excellent natural acidity.

Tramontane Grenache 2009 VdP Cotes Catalanes
This wine is made from very old vine Grenache in the sought after area of Tautavel. The clay/limestone soils provide depth and freshness in this powerful red. No oak ageing - this is a pure expression of the Roussillon terroir.
