The Veldt Range

We are very proud to introduce the Veldt Range,

EXCLUSIVE TO INVERARITY.

The grapes all come from the Robertson Valley northeast of Stellenbosch, an area especially famed for its white wines and now gaining a reputation for its reds. During a recent two week investigative trip to South Africa, Hamish extensively researched and sourced wines and wineries and was lucky enough to discover this exciting range. The name, Veldt, has a special significance as Hamish also spent quite a bit of time on a game reserve, a truly unforgettable experience, where he saw, in their natural habitat, all the animals depicted on the labels.

We are extremely excited by both the quality of the wines and the packaging. We have also registered the trade name as we are totally dedicated to this brand and we hope you will share our enthusiasm.

Chenin Blanc 2010

A really well balanced wine: the aromas are reminiscent of melon and lychees with soft tropical fruit flavours dominating the palate and an elegant, refreshing acidity on the finish.

Sauvignon Blanc 2009

Savour the spectrum of varietal flavours that personifies our Sauvignon Blanc. Both the palate and the nose are dominated by rich, gooseberry and greengage fruits backed by a herbaceous crispness.

Chardonnay 2007

Our chardonnay is a powerful mouthful. Rich, smooth, buttery fruit with distinctive citrus overtones and an added presence of vanilla.

Ruby Cabernet 2010

The opulent black fruit character twinned with low levels of tannin ensure that our Ruby Cabernet is perfect for early drinking. We even encourage you to try it slightly chilled during summer.

Shiraz 2010

A soft and voluptuous Shiraz displaying ripples of spice and black pepper. A subtle nuance of oak gives additional body and structure to this eminently drinkable wine.

Pinotage 2010

This is an early drinking style Pinotage packed with ripe, jammy fruits of the forest flavours. Soft, mellow and velvety smooth – refreshing and medium bodied.
