Beaune 1er Cru "Les Tuvilains" Bertrand Ambroise 2007 75cl

These vines are situated right next to Pommard.  50% new oak is used in the maturation process but this is not the overriding factor in the finished wine.  It is remarkably elegant with lots of violets, black cherry, damson, spice and toast and although it’s chunky, the balance is remarkable.
