Tokaji wines come from a prestigious wine region situated in the Northeast of Hungary, at the Carpathian foothills, between two rivers: the Tisza and the Bodrog. Vine plantations date back to ancient times in this region, where the soil is made up of volcanic clay mixed with rhyolite (perlite) pebbles, and white wines that are unparalleled world-wide have been produced here for several centuries.
(Bottle)

Selected clusters of 60% Furmint, 30%Harslevelu and 10% Zeta grapes, also containing some nobly rotten grapes, macerate for a short while, before being pressed. The wine is then racked into oak barrels, where it matures for at least one year. For a few months, giving the wine intense, fruity flavours and aromas. Ideal as aperitif with cold goose liver or with goat's cheese, seafood dishes with creamy sauce and lemon, with duck accompanied by fruits, or with moderately sweet desserts and fruit salad. A fruity aroma with honey, banana, William's pear, and wild flower features. Hints of pear and lime harmonise perfectly with soft honey sweetness giving the wine intense flavours and aromas.
