There are not many vineyards in Germany that can compare in majesty with the "Kanzemer Altenberg". Nor are there many Rieslings that are the equal of a wine originating from the re-brown-black shimmering slopes of the lower reaches of the Saar. With a slope of up to 70% homogeneous, rich soils of weathered Devon slate, wind from the west, sun from the south and ideal thermal conditions due to the protection of the river basin to the north, an excellent water supply to the slope from the mountain, nature has bestowed numerous blessings on the vineyard.
