M. Maillart
The Maillart Champagne house has a long family history dating back to 1720, and has been passed down from father to son. Louis Octave Maillart, one of the ancestors of the present day owner, Nicolas, was one of the cofounders of the Champagne winegrowers syndicate, and one of the first to produce his own champagne. However, the brand M.MAILLART was created in 1965 by Michel Maillart.

The society, SCEV M. MAILLART, was created in March 2003, between Nicolas and his parents, in order to manage this winery. The vineyard of 8.5 hectares is spread over three villages, each with its unique feature, adding to the quality of the blend of wine.

Another unique feature of Maillart is the printing of a "disgorgement" date on the back label, allowing you an insight into the true craft of making great Champagne.
(Bottle, Half Bottle, Magnum)
A truly remarkable champagne - a "Premier Cru" for this price is exceptional. The high percentage of Pinot Noir lends elegance and finesse with the Chardonnay contributing to weight, fruit and sheer refinement.

Bottle age, breeding and balance are combined to produce the most beautiful Champagne. We were all in agreement that this wine is far superior to the majority of "the highly" branded, marketed brands out there.
